EXPLORE THE FELLOWSHIP

PROGRAMMING:

  • Actively participate in the handling of specialty medications from prescription intake through dispense
  • Work side-by-side with experienced pharmacists and pharmacy leaders
  • Interact with prescribers, patients, and partners to optimize the unique care associated with complex disease patients
  • Learn the role of the patient support program and the relationship with the many stakeholders in the treatment network
  • Experience unique patient and healthcare provider journeys
  • Gain an understanding of distribution models, disease states, patient populations and biopharma partner expectations
  • Explore regulatory standards, compliance, reporting and auditing as they relate to specialty pharmacies and patient support programs
  • Understand the role of a non-commercial pharmacy in supporting patient assistance and free drug programs
  • Participate in the development of new internal processes and enhancements of current workflows
  • Rotate across various departments inside RareMed to understand the business aspects of pharmacy
  • Contribute to program enhancement initiatives with biopharma partners
  • Complete a focused research project and/or white paper

EXPERIENCES:

  • Understand the intricacies of pharmacy HUBs, specialty pharmacy networks, and complex patient therapies
  • Work closely with senior leadership at RareMed and gain exposure to industry leaders
  • Execute projects and enhancements for new and existing clients
  • Engage with colleagues through professional development presentations and company culture meetings
  • Gain first-hand experience launching and commercializing complex disease products

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree from a college or school of pharmacy accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education
  • Currently licensed or are eligible to become licensed in PA
  • Written Statement of Interest in the program
