As we look back on 2022, we cannot help but be overwhelmed with happiness and pride for the accomplishments our company has made over the last year; all of which would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our amazing team. In 2022, RareMed and its employees have made personal and professional accomplishments, received awards, created change for us and others, and strived to continue to provide only the absolute best service for our patients.
In the beginning of 2022, RareMed created the Values and Culture Committee. A volunteer committee dedicated to upholding and enhancing RareMed’s #RareCulture and values through creating new company-wide policies, activities, and implementing new processes. The Values and Culture Committee made an incredible impact on RareMed in their first year, with contributions such as the creation of RareMed’s Volunteer Time Off Program as well as organizing RareMed’s phenomenally successful Thanksgiving food drive for a deserving local food bank. Perhaps most notably, the Values and Culture Committee created the Certified Rare Award that showcases the support RareMed employees have for one another.
2022 was also a momentous year for awards and recognition for RareMed. This year, the company was nominated for and awarded recognitions from The Pittsburgh Business Times, The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Smart Business, and more. RareMed received its second consecutive #1 MMIT Patient Satisfaction Score. RareMed was recognized for the 2nd year in a row as a Top Workplace by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Top Workplace and for the 3rd year in a row as a Best Places to Work by the Pittsburgh Business Times. Additionally, RareMed was included in the Pittsburgh Business Times’ Fast 50 awards where we were recognized as the #1 Fastest Growing Healthcare Company, the #1 Fastest Growing Technology Company, and the #6 Fastest Growing Company Overall in the region. Our President, Doug Gebhard, was recognized as one of the smartest 50 leaders in the region, and RareMed was recognized as the lead innovator in the region in Pittsburgh Business Times’ Smart 50 awards.
We could not have received such recognition if not for the growth RareMed experienced this year. In 2022, RareMed’s employee base doubled in size, and we are continuing to grow! Through this process, RareMed’s employees also experienced personal growth, with over 30 internal promotions in 2022. RareMed’s leadership team also expanded this year with the addition of two new executive members. With our growth to thank, RareMed unveiled the concept for a new headquarters large enough to accommodate our future growth, that we will move to in mid 2023.
Overall, RareMed has had a monumental year and our trajectory is continuing to move upward. A year like 2022 leaves us feeling extremely excited and hopeful for the years to come! We would like to extend a sincere thank you to Team RareMed, our partners, and our patients for being key components to our success and for allowing us to strive to achieve our mission every day!
