As we reflect on RareMed’s extraordinary journey throughout 2024, we are filled with pride, gratitude, and excitement for the future. The achievements of this past year have exceeded our aspirations, showcasing the strength of our team, the trust of our partners, and the impact of our mission to accelerate access to patient care.
2024 marked a record-breaking year for RareMed. We launched our largest program to date, demonstrating our ability to scale operations while maintaining the high standards that define our work. This initiative was part of what became our largest growth period ever, enabling us to expand our reach and serve more patients with rare and complex conditions.
While we continued to extend our reach, we remained committed to fostering growth within our team. The Rare Future Leaders program continued this year, with a second cohort graduating and celebrating this achievement with RareMed leaders in December. We strengthened our organizational leadership through promotions, growth, and the addition of new team members. We also celebrated the many personal and professional accomplishments of our team.
At RareMed, our success is fueled not only by innovation and operational excellence, but also by our deeply rooted culture of care. In 2024, our team came together to make a meaningful difference in our community, our country, and the lives of our patients. This year, we proudly hosted a half dozen volunteer opportunities, blood drives, and fundraising events, while supporting hundreds of hours of volunteer work through our Volunteer Time Off program. From hurricane relief efforts to local initiatives supporting underserved populations, our team demonstrated an unwavering commitment to helping those in need, extending well beyond the workplace and leaving an impact on individuals and the company that reflect the values that unite us and inspire us to go above and beyond to create positive change.
Our dedication to excellence and culture was once again recognized on both local and national stages in 2024. RareMed proudly retained its position as a top workplace, earning repeat honors in the Pittsburgh Business Times Best Places to Work and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Top Workplaces lists. We also received national acclaim for our workplace culture, being named a Top Workplace according to USA Today and a Most Loved Workplace for the first time, along with a feature in Newsweek for this achievement.
In the award arena, RareMed continues to shine:
- We landed our third consecutive year on the Pittsburgh Business Times Fast 50 list, highlighting our continued, sustained growth.
- Vice President of Business Operations, Gordon Vanscoy Jr. was recognized in the Smart 50 Awards by Smart Business, applauding our leadership’s innovative vision and dedication to the team, and representing the third RareMed leader to be honored with the prestigious award.
- RareMed continued to set the bar over the course of the year in the MMIT Patient Satisfaction Surveys, consistently earning top rankings (90+ point Net Promoter Scores) and reflecting our dedication to the highest standard of patient care.
