RareMed’s values extend beyond our company to our community at large. Our Values and Culture Committee took our “Supportive Ambition” value outside our doors and organized a food drive to benefit the West Hills Food Pantry here in the Pittsburgh area. RareMed employees showed up and also showed off their “Authentic Dedication” (another RareMed value), collecting approximately 1,300 individual food items as well as almost $600 in gift cards for the West Hills Food Pantry patrons.
The food drive saw RareMed divide into six cross-departmental teams, competing with each other to compile the largest number of items. Items were delivered to the West Hills Food Pantry in advance of Thanksgiving, giving the organization a well-received boost to help families during this special time of year.
RareMed is incredibly thankful for its employees, partners, and patients. We are fortunate to have dedicated teams and employees who are integral in helping RareMed accomplish its mission and who give us the ability to extend our reach to our local communities.

The West Hills Food Pantry is a non-profit, donation run organization benefiting families in need in the Greater Pittsburgh Area. Organized in 1983, the organization hosts weekly FoodDistributions to help members of the community who are in need; with the holiday season being one of its busiest times. Through their weekly grocery distributions, the organization provides supplemental groceries to individuals and families in need. During the holiday season, the pantry strives to provide holiday appropriate meals to their community. Many of the RareMed donations focused on Thanksgiving related items as well as non-perishables.
