The month of April marks Parkinson’s Awareness Month, and in the United States, someone is diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease every 6 minutes. For us at RareMed Solutions, and the approximate 500,000 to one million patients diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease, every month is Parkinson’s Awareness month. Parkinson’s Disease is a neurodegenerative disorder that affects predominantly the dopamine-producing neurons in a specific area of the brain. This disorder slowly develops over the years with symptoms varying from one person to another due to the diversity of the disease. Currently, there is no known definitive cause of Parkinson’s Disease, and there is also no cure.
With treatment, it is possible to have a good quality of life with Parkinson’s Disease, and here at RareMed, two of our patient support teams are specifically dedicated to being experts on the Parkinson’s medications we provide to our patients and spend their days working to catalyze access to these life-altering therapies for those who need it.
This year, Parkinson’s Awareness Month feels extra special as RareMed’s dedicated teams are experiencing dramatic growth and expansion. This means one thing: our ability to impact patients’ lives is also growing. In support of this growth, this month RareMed held its first virtual career fair of 2023. We were blown away by the success.
With the opportunity to extend our reach, we are keeping true to our mission to transform the lives of those who need it, and through this growth, we are building on the foundation of RareMed values to best serve our patient populations.
RareMed is still actively hiring! Check out our Careers Page to view available positions. We’d love to hear from you!
