This past Wednesday, RareMed Solutions hosted the University of Pittsburgh’s Student Association of Specialty Pharmacy (SASP). The University of Pittsburgh’s SASP chapter was founded earlier this year with the assistance of RareMed’s General Manager, Douglas Gebhard, Pharm.D., MBA, as a student chapter of the National Association of Specialty Pharmacy (NASP).
During the onsite visit, RareMed leadership and employees gave students an overview of the specialty pharmacy industry and explained the importance of RareMed’s role in serving rare disease patients, healthcare providers, and manufacturer partners. Students also experienced a tour of the RareMed facility and a Q&A session with our leadership.
RareMed is excited to have had the opportunity to interface with local pharmacy students and help create more awareness in the student community about specialty pharmacy.
